Chatham History Day at the Caleb Nickerson Homestead

On Chatham History Day the Caleb Nickerson Homestead is open for guided tours with a docent from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Events: 10:30 a.m. Colonial gardener Sonny Gada will plant an herb garden that he will then raffle off. 11 a.m.: Robert Nickerson will give an illustrated talk on aspects of the historic barn restoration project. Noon to 2 p.m.: Gary Nickerson, a member of the team that excavated William and Anne's ca. 1664 homestead, will speak about the expanded display of dig artifacts. 1 to 3 p.m.: Fiber artist Cheryl Flett will demonstrate carding and spinning fleece.
