Speaker Series: Osprey - Egg Incubation, Chick Rearing and Wild Fostering
Chatham Marconi Welcomes Ms. Stephanie Ellis to its Speaker Series
Wild Care's Executive Director Stephanie Ellis will outline the history of Osprey on Cape Cod - a true conservation success story, and the legalities involved in working with Osprey nests, eggs and chicks. In 2023, Stephanie was tasked with incubating two sets of Osprey eggs, raising the chicks and finding them suitable wild foster nests. Stephanie will discuss this intensive process along with its successes and challenges.
About Our SpeakerStephanie Ellis is the Executive Director of Wild Care, a wildlife rehabilitation hospital located in Eastham, MA (Cape Cod). She has a special affinity for birds and mice and has worked extensively in the fields of wildlife rehabilitation and avian conservation on both U.S. coasts. She loves dancing, and enjoying Cape Cod's natural beauty.

About the Chatham Marconi Speaker Series
Programs are usually presented on on the first Thursday of each month from October through June, and on alternate Thursday evenings during the Summer. Subjects are drawn from the resources of the Marconi-RCA Wireless Museum, the Education Center's STEM programs, or member-suggested topics related to our mission.
