Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod’s 8th Annual Ride for Homes Raises Over $73,000 for Affordable Housing on Cape Cod

Sandwich, MA – September 2025 – Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod’s 8th Annual Ride for Homes, presented by KAM Appliances, was held at the Coast Guard Station at the Sandwich Marina on Sunday, September 14th, and raised more than $73,000 to support the construction of affordable homes for local Cape Cod families.

This year’s Ride brought together more than 100 riders, runners, walkers, volunteers, and supporters. Volunteer and supporter Brad Boyd donated a weeklong stay in Key Largo, which was awarded by random drawing to one lucky participant.

The event was organized with the help of the Ride for Homes Planning Committee—Dwight Pfundstein, Kathleen Thomas, Peter Brooks, and Julia Klubuk.

Shepley Wood Products and The Pfun Team brought out the largest teams, each with more than 20 participants.

Additional sponsors included: Shepley Wood Products, Santa Fe Warehouse, Anderson Framing & Remodeling, SV Design, The Valle Group Builders, Cape Cod 5, Starbucks, Sea Sports Cyclery & Outdoor, Marathon Sports, Corner Cycle, and Coxswain Media.

The Top 10 Fundraisers were: Rob Parke, Jeff Dobro, Brad Boyd, Debbie Fabbri, Peter Soule, Erin Lynch, Kathleen Thomas, Matt Mooney, Peter Brooks, and William Bryant. Highest fundraiser Rob Parke raised more than $10,000.

With support from the Ride for Homes and other community fundraising efforts, Habitat Cape Cod is currently:

• Finishing 3 homes in Dennis and 4 in Wellfleet
• Starting 4 in Falmouth, 2 in Brewster, and 1 in Pocasset
• Preparing additional builds in Marstons Mills, Yarmouth, North Falmouth, and Orleans

Since its founding, Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod has completed nearly 200 homes across the Cape. Qualified families are selected through a lottery process, contribute sweat equity by building alongside volunteers, and purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage. All homes are deed-restricted to remain affordable in perpetuity.

The 9th Annual Ride for Homes will take place on Sunday, September 13,  2026.
